Community Program Advisory Committee
As directed by the Consent Decree, the City formed a Community Program Advisory Committee of community leaders, key stakeholders and citizens-at-large. The committee serves on behalf of Toledo’s citizens and water/sewer customers to provide input and feedback to the City and the program manager on issues relating to the Toledo Waterways Initiative.
Further, the committee is charged with ensuring the community’s needs/concerns/wishes are incorporated into the Long-term Control Plan.
Committee members were selected to reflect a cross section of community interests and geographic areas. Members of the committee are appointed by the Mayor of Toledo.
Members are to be independent and objective – having no business relationship with the City or any contractors or sub-contractors associated with the program.
Members may also be asked to serve as liaisons with Neighborhood Advisory Committees charged with providing public input on specific projects.
