W-1: Ash-Columbus Storage Pipeline

Waterway: Maumee River
Location: The Maumee River northwest to the northwest side of Summit St. and from Ash St. northeast to Columbus St.
Description:
- Construct a 72-inch storage pipeline and connection structures and build and a second, smaller storage pipeline and associated structures to connect with the 72-inch pipeline
- Includes a pump station, piping and controls for dewatering the storage before being pumped to the Westside Interceptor Sewer for transport to the Bay View Wastewater Treatment Plant
- The pipeline’s length allows it to control overflows effectively without a basin
- Storage pipeline located adjacent to the railroad tracks that parallel Summit Street and Jamie Farr Park
- Additional access requirements needed for facility maintenance
