O-3 Ayers/Monroe Storage

Location:
South Cove Blvd. from Bluff St. east to Ayers Ave. and moves north to Goodale Ave. from Ayers west to Auburn Ave., south to Monroe St., then roughly northwest along Monroe and Bluff to South Cove.
Description:
- A new combined sewer extending from Monroe Street to the I-475/ I-75 interchange will be built to provide storage for wet weather events. The new combined sewer also will act as transport for larger wet weather events to the planned South Ottawa Storage Facility (Project O-4).
- A new overflow location will be constructed in Beatty Park. This overflow will discharge when the sewer is full, with an average frequency of approximately two times in five years
- The new combined sewer will connect to the current Ayres discharge location

- Initiate Construction: Fall 2011
- Construction Complete: Winter 2013
