City Council approves Toledo sewer rate hike

Toledoans are facing the fact that sewer rates are officially going up. Toledo City Council has approved the increase that is set to start in 2015. It’s all part of the Toledo Waterways Initiative, a multi-million dollar project to upgrade the systems and prevent raw sewage run off from getting into Lake Erie, in turn helping to fight algal blooms.
